Day 237-Gainey Vineyard Riesling 2006 Santa Ynez Valley for $6 at Binnys

This wine was on sale for $6 at Binnys, it was a Riesling, I picked it up. This Riesling is much better than the Oceana Riesling for the same price in California. This wine is not sweet, but has a lot of the fruit flavors associated with a Riesling. My sister does not think it was very good, but I think it is ok. My better half thought is was ok, but I would not buy it again. It is a 2006 and I think that is why the wine was on sale. This wine has definitely past its peak. But as a wine while just watching the game, it was good enough.
