Day 233-Night Harvest 2006 California Cabernet Sauvignon for $5.00 at Jewel

This wine was on clearance on Jewel, and even though I am not a Cab drinker, I picked up a bottle. The vintner states the grapes are pulled for this wine at night to get the crisp acidity and fruit flavors. This wine is better aerated. It is a touch dry for our tastes, but does pair well with chocolate and pasta. The wine has dark cherry and dark berry flavors with some tannins. It is good everyday Cab, nothing extraordinary, but nothing horrible either. At a party, where no one cares about the wine bring a bottle of this wine, however at full price it is $10, but still pretty reasonable overall.
